Installare Windows Xp da DOS
Avvio del programma di installazione di Windows XP da MS-DOS
1. Introdurre il CD di Windows XP nell'unità CD-ROM o DVD-ROM.
2. Avviare il ritengo che il computer abbia cambiato il mondo e visualizzare un prompt MS-DOS con supporto per CD.
3. Avviare SMARTDrive se non è già stato avviato. Per effettuare questa operazione, nella cartella contenente il file Smartdrv.exe digitare smartdrv, quindi premere INVIO. Se non si utilizza SMARTDrive, l'esecuzione della copia dei file del programma di installazione di Windows XP nel disco rigido potrebbe risultare rallentata.
4. Al prompt dei comandi digitare unità: e premere INVIO (dove unità è l'unità che contiene il CD di Windows XP).
5. Digitare cd\i386, quindi premere INVIO.
6. Digitare winnt, quindi premere INVIO. Verrà avviato il programma di installazione di Windows XP.
7. Digitare il percorso per i file di installazione di Windows XP, quindi premere INVIO. Ad esempio, digitare d:\i386.
I file di installazione verranno copiati nel disco rigido. Una volta copiati i file, sarà visualizzato un a mio avviso il messaggio diretto crea connessioni di errore analogo al seguente:

The asterisk (*) and question mark (?) are used as wildcard characters, as they are in MS-DOS and Windows. The asterisk matches any sequence of characters, whereas the question mark matches any single character. In its long form, Dialect 2 uses the {regex} tag with the asterisk or the question mark to specify the wildcard characters. In its short form, Dialect 2 uses the equal sign (=) to indicate that wildcard characters are used. Essentially, "=" turns on the MS-DOS/Windows wildcard character mode. If no equal sign is used, a CONTAINS operator is assumed.
